Job summary

Penske Truck Leasing is seeking a qualified Technician in Conover, NC. You’ll perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs on a diverse fleet to keep customers on the road. You’ll learn Penske’s vehicle maintenance processes and receive industry-certified training to advance your career.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred.
• 1–2 years automotive or diesel repair experience (preferred).
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Comfort using tools and solving problems.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work well in a team and outdoors.
• Understand and comply with Penske policies including DOT/OSHA safety rules.

Responsibilities

• Make sure vehicles are maintained and safe for customers.
• Use Penske tools and technologies to log, research and complete repairs, including basic diagnostics.
• Perform preventative maintenance such as tire rotation and lubrication, some electrical and cooling system work on gas/diesel vehicles.
• Partner with your manager to learn new skills via Penske’s technician training and hands-on coaching.
• Take on additional tasks as assigned by supervisor.
