Penske Truck Leasing Co., L.P. is seeking a Technician in Conover, NC to perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs on a diverse fleet. Base pay is $23.00 per hour with 2nd and 3rd shift premiums of $2.50 and $3.50 respectively, along with strong training and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational/technical certification in vehicle repair preferred.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and 1–2 years of automotive or diesel repair experience preferred.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Ability to solve problems and use tools; strong customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain vehicles and ensure safety for customers.
• Use Penske tools and technologies to log, research and complete repairs, including basic diagnostics.
• Perform preventative maintenance such as tire rotation and lubrication; handle electrical and cooling system maintenance as needed.
• Partner with manager to learn new skills via Penske training and coaching.
• Work on additional projects as assigned by supervisor.
