Penske Truck Leasing is seeking a Vehicle Technician in Charlotte to perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs on a varied fleet. You’ll work with our tools and advanced technology to diagnose and fix issues, ensuring reliability on the road.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and 1–2 years of automotive or diesel repair experience (preferred).
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to solve problems and comfortable using tools.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work well as part of a team and outdoors.
• Basic computer skills.
• Must follow Penske safety policies and DOT/OSHA regulations.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and ensure safety of vehicles for customers.
• Use Penske tools and technologies to log, research and complete repairs including basic diagnostics.
• Perform preventive maintenance and certain component replacements on gas and diesel vehicles.
• Learn new skills via technician training and hands-on coaching with management.
• Contribute to other projects as assigned by supervisor.
