Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Vocational or technical certification preferred.
• Basic tools required.
• Demonstrated aptitude and experience in mechanical repair of automotive engines including preventative maintenance.
• Two years or more of classroom training or work experience in required area preferred.
• CDL‑A license preferred; must obtain CDL within 6 months after hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs vehicle maintenance and repair duties.
• Performs standard vehicle maintenance.
• Performs standard component inspections and repairs.
• Performs preventive maintenance.
• Diagnoses mechanical and electronic problems using diagnostic tools where applicable.
• Identifies root cause of failures and performs repairs as required.
• Replaces defective components as instructed.
• Interacts with customers/drivers to determine nature of complaints.
• Follows Shop Management System for documentation and compliance.
