Job summary

Ryder is seeking a Mid-Level Diesel Technician in Green Bay, WI. You will perform maintenance and repair on heavy duty vehicles, using state-of-the-art diagnostics and tools, with a second shift 12:00 pm – 8:30 pm and a Monday–Friday schedule.

The role offers weekly pay, medical/dental/vision benefits after 30 days, PTO from day 1 (up to 80 hours in year 1), a 401(k) match, paid training, and opportunities for merit increases and promotions. Veterans are welcome to apply.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Vocational or Technical Certification or post-secondary degree preferred.
• Basic tools required.
• Demonstrated aptitude in mechanical repair of automotive engines.

Responsibilities

• Performs vehicle maintenance and repair duties.
• Performs standard vehicle maintenance and inspections.
• Performs preventive maintenance.
• Diagnoses mechanical and electronic problems using diagnostic tools where applicable.
• Identifies root cause of failures and performs repairs as required.
• Replaces defective components as instructed.
• Performs facility maintenance duties.
• Interacts with customers/drivers to determine the nature of the issue.
• Uses Shop Management System and electronic documentation.
• Adheres to safety, DOT, MOT, and corporate guidelines.
