Job summary

Ryder is hiring a Mid-Level Diesel Technician in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, offering a stable career with weekly pay and comprehensive benefits. You will perform maintenance and repair on heavy-duty diesel vehicles, with a second shift 3:00 pm – 11:30 pm, Monday–Friday, weekends off.

The role includes competitive hourly pay of $30.19, a certification bonus up to $700, quarterly bonuses, sign-on bonuses at 30 and 90 days, and a full benefits package starting after 30 days, plus PTO, 401(k) match,

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Vocational or technical certification preferred.
• Basic tools required.
• 2+ years of classroom or hands-on experience in mechanical repair.
• CDL Class A preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs vehicle maintenance and repair duties.
• Performs standard vehicle maintenance and inspections.
• Diagnoses mechanical and electronic problems using diagnostic tools.
• Identifies root causes and performs repairs.
• Operates within safety and DOT guidelines.
• Interacts with drivers to determine scope of work.
