Ryder System, Inc. in Tampa, FL is seeking a Mid-Level Diesel Technician to join our team. You will work on heavy-duty vehicles with weekly pay and a strong benefits package, including paid training and advancement opportunities.

The position offers $27.50 per hour with for certifications, quarterly bonuses, and a comprehensive benefits plan. This on-site role features a second shift schedule (Tue–Sat) with generous company perks and career development.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Vocational or Technical Certification preferred.
• Basic tools required.
• Experience in mechanical repair of automotive diesel engines.
• CDL Class A preferred; ability to obtain CDL within 6 months.

Responsabilités

• Performs vehicle maintenance and repair duties.
• Performs standard vehicle and component inspections and repairs.
• Conducts preventive maintenance on vehicles.
• Diagnoses mechanical/electronic problems using diagnostic tools.
• Identifies root causes and replaces defective components.
• Interacts with customers/drivers to clarify the issue.
• Uses the Shop Management System and electronic documentation.
• Complies with safety, DOT, MOT guidelines.
• Provides support to operations as needed.
