Ryder System, Inc. in Tampa, FL is seeking a Mid-Level Diesel Technician to perform maintenance and repair on heavy-duty vehicles on second shift. The role offers an hourly wage of $27.50 plus a certification bonus, quarterly bonuses, and a robust benefits package after 30 days.

The position requires technical certification or trade school, basic tools, and relevant diesel/mechanical experience. CDL Class A is preferred and a CDL should be obtained within 6 months.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Vocational or technical certification preferred.
• Basic tools required.
• Experience in repairing automotive gas or diesel engines including routine maintenance.
• Two years or more of related classroom training and work experience.
• CDL Class A preferred.
• Must obtain CDL within 6 months, pass Ryder drug test, DOT physical, road test, and background check.

Responsabilidades

• Performs vehicle maintenance and repair duties.
• Performs standard vehicle maintenance and inspections.
• Diagnoses mechanical and electronic problems using diagnostic equipment when applicable.
• Replaces defective components as instructed.
• Interacts with customers/drivers to determine nature of the issue.
• Uses Shop Management System and electronic documentation.
• Follows safety, DOT, MOT guidelines and supports operations.
