Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Vocational or Technical Certification Post Secondary degree or Technical Certifications preferred.
• Basic tools, required.
• Demonstrated aptitude and applied experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines including routine preventive maintenance such as oil changes, brake and tire work.

Responsibilities

• Performs vehicle maintenance and repair duties.
• Performs standard vehicle maintenance.
• Performs standard component inspections and repairs.
• Performs preventive maintenance.
• Diagnoses standard mechanical and electronic problems using diagnostic computer when applicable.
• Identifies root cause of failures and perform repairs as required.
• Replaces defective components as instructed.
• Interacts with customers/drivers to determine nature of the problem.
• Uses Shop Management System and electronic documentation.
