Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. in Tampa, FL, seeks a mid-level diesel technician for a second shift. You will perform vehicle maintenance, diagnose mechanical and electronic problems, and work with diagnostics to repair heavy-duty vehicles.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Vocational or technical certification preferred.
• Basic tools required.

Responsibilities

• Performs vehicle maintenance and repair duties.
• Performs standard vehicle maintenance.
• Performs standard component inspections and repairs.
• Performs preventive maintenance.
• Diagnoses standard mechanical and electronic problems using diagnostic tools.
• Identifies root causes and performs repairs as required.
• Replaces defective components as instructed.
• Interacts with customers/drivers to determine nature of the issue.
• Works with Shop Management System and electronic documentation.

Skills

Basic mechanical aptitude

Valid CDL A (preferred)

Demonstrated aptitude in mechanical修理
