Job summary

Penske is hiring an entry-level Diesel Technician/Mechanic III in Jessup, MD. Pay is 27.89/hour with a Monday–Friday 2:00pm–10:30pm shift. You’ll perform preventive maintenance and minor repairs on a diverse fleet and learn Penske’s maintenance processes with expert guidance. Training and growth opportunities are emphasized.

The role supports safety, reliability, and customer service as a core focus, with employer-provided major shop tools and a strong benefits program.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and interest in vehicle maintenance.
• Willingness to learn Penske processes and safety rules.

Responsibilities

• Make sure vehicles are maintained and safe for customers.
• Use Penske tools to log, research and complete repairs, including diagnostics.
• Perform preventive maintenance and component lubrication on gas/diesel engines.
• Learn new skills with guidance from managers and techs.
• Handle other tasks as assigned by supervisor.
