Job summary

Penske in Hagerstown, MD is seeking a Diesel Technician/Mechanic III - Entry Level to service our growing fleet. You’ll perform preventative maintenance and basic repairs, using Penske tools and on‑the‑job coaching to keep vehicles safe and on the road.

Work with experienced technicians, pursue Penske certification, and adhere to DOT/OSHA safety standards. The Sunday–Thursday night shift includes a pay rate of $24.00/hour and opportunities for growth within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and 1–2 years of automotive or diesel repair experience preferred.
• Ability to log, research and complete repairs using Penske tools and technologies.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and ensure vehicle safety for customers.
• Perform preventative maintenance and basic diagnostics.
• Log repairs and use Penske systems for maintenance records.
• Collaborate with management to learn new skills through Penske training programs.
• Support other projects as assigned by supervisor.
