Penske Truck Leasing is seeking a Technician in Elgin, IL to perform preventive maintenance and minor repairs on a diverse fleet. You will use Penske’s tools and technologies to diagnose and complete repairs while ensuring safety and reliability for customers.

Qualifications

• Basic mechanical aptitude and interest in vehicle repair.
• 1–2 years automotive or diesel repair experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work well in a team and outdoors.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and service vehicles to ensure safety and reliability for customers.
• Log, research, and complete repairs using Penske’s tools and technologies; perform basic diagnostics.
• Conduct preventative maintenance and component replacements on gas and diesel engines.
• Learn new skills through Penske’s technician training and hands-on coaching.
• Collaborate with supervisors on other projects as needed.
