Job summary

Penske Truck Leasing is seeking a qualified Technician in Mesa, AZ to perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs on Penske's fleet. You will help customers keep their vehicles in top condition, logging repairs and using diagnostic tools.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and 1–2 years of automotive or diesel repair experience (preferred).
• Valid driver’s license required.
• The ability to solve problems and comfort using tools.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work well as part of a team and outside.
• Basic computer skills.
• Must understand and comply with Penske safety and maintenance policies.

Responsibilities

• Make sure vehicles are maintained and safe for customers.
• Use Penske tools and technologies to log, research and complete repairs, including basic diagnostics.
• Perform preventative maintenance repairs such as tire rotation and lubrication on gas and diesel engines.
• Learn new skills through Penske’s technician training and hands-on coaching.
• Take on other projects and tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
