Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and 1-2 years of automotive or diesel repair experience (preferred).
• Valid driver's license required.
• Ability to solve problems using tools and dependable to follow directions.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work well as part of a team and outdoors.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining and ensuring vehicles are safe for customers.
• Using Penske's tools to log, research and complete repairs, including diagnostics.
• Performing preventive maintenance and some electrical/cooling system work on gas and diesel engines.
• Learning new skills through Penske's technician training and coaching.
• Taking on additional projects as assigned by supervisor.
