Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred
• 1-2 years automotive or diesel repair experience preferred
• Valid drivers license
• The ability to solve problems and comfort using tools
• Excellent customer service skills and communication skills
• The ability to work well as part of a team and outside
• Basic computer skills
• The associate will be required to understand and comply with Penske management guidelines
• The DOT/OSHA safety policies and PPE requirements must be followed
• Regular, predictable, full attendance is essential

Responsibilities

• Maintaining and ensuring vehicles are safe for customers
• Using Penske tools and technologies to log, research and complete repairs, including basic vehicle diagnostics
• Performing preventative maintenance repairs such as tire rotation and lubrication
• Learning new skills through Penske technician training and hands-on coaching
• Handling other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor
