Job summary

Penske is seeking a skilled Technician in Flat Rock, MI to perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs on a diverse fleet. You’ll learn Penske’s maintenance processes, use advanced diagnostic tools, and grow through our technician certification program.

This role emphasizes safety, reliability, and teamwork within a supportive environment. A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel for training are required.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent; vocational/technical cert preferred.
1–2 years automotive or diesel repair experience preferred.
Valid driver’s license required.
Ability to use basic hand tools and mechanical systems.
Commitment to Penske safety policies and procedures (DOT/OSHA).

Responsibilities

Perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs on fleet vehicles.
Log and complete repairs using Penske tools and diagnostics.
Conduct basic vehicle diagnostics and component lubrication tasks.
Collaborate with supervisor to learn new skills and training.
Support other projects and duties as assigned by supervisor.
