Job summary

Penske is seeking an entry level Diesel Technician/Mechanic III at our Concord, NC location. You’ll perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs on a diverse fleet, using Penske tools and tech to diagnose and complete repairs.

You’ll learn Penske’s maintenance processes and gain access to industry-certified training. As part of the team, you’ll work with experienced supervisors, grow your skills, and have opportunities for career advancement within a well‑established, respected truck

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and 1–2 years of automotive or diesel repair experience (preferred).
• The ability to solve problems and comfort using tools.
• Excellent customer service skills and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Making sure vehicles are maintained and safe for our customers.
• Using Penske’s tools and technologies to log, research and complete repairs, including basic vehicle diagnostics.
• Performing preventative maintenance repairs and component lubrication/replacement.
• Partnering with your manager to learn new skills through Penske’s technician training and hands-on coaching.
• Working on other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor.
