Job summary

Penske Truck Leasing is seeking a skilled Technician in Franklin, MA. You will perform preventive maintenance and repairs to keep our fleet safe and reliable, using Penske tools and diagnostics. The role offers opportunities to grow with hands-on training and a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred
• Basic mechanical aptitude and 1-2 years of automotive or diesel repair experience (preferred)
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to solve problems and use tools
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Teamwork and field work capability
• Basic computer skills
• Must adhere to Penske safety policies and DOT/OSHA requirements
• Ability to pass drug screen and background checks for DOT requirements
• Willingness to travel within a near geography for training and scheduling

Responsibilities

• Making sure vehicles are maintained and safe for our customers
• Using Penske’s tools and technologies to log, research and complete repairs, including basic vehicle diagnostics
• Performing preventative maintenance such as tire rotation and lubrication on gas and diesel engines
• Learning new skills through Penske’s technician training and hands-on coaching
• Working on other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor
