Job summary

Penske Truck Leasing in Auburn, MA is seeking an automotive technician to perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs on our fleet. You’ll diagnose basic vehicle issues, use Penske’s tools, and learn our maintenance processes in a safety‑minded environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and 1-2 years of automotive or diesel repair experience (preferred).
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Ability to solve problems and use tools.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work well as part of a team and outdoors.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Make sure vehicles are maintained and safe for customers.
• Use Penske tools and technologies to log, research and complete repairs, including basic diagnostics.
• Perform preventative maintenance and component lubrication and replacement, some electrical and cooling system maintenance on gas and diesel engines.
• Partner with manager to learn new skills via Penske training and hands-on coaching.
• Work on other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor.
