Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and 1-2 years of automotive or diesel repair experience (preferred).
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to solve problems and comfortable using tools.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work well as part of a team and outside.
• Basic computer skills.
• Must understand and comply with Penske policies including DOT/OSHA safety.
• Regular, predictable, full attendance is essential.
• DOT driving requirements and background checks may apply

Responsibilities

• Maintain vehicles and ensure safety for customers.
• Use Penske's tools to log, research and complete repairs, including basic diagnostics.
• Perform preventive maintenance like tire rotation and lubrication, some electrical and cooling system work.
• Learn new skills through Penske's training and coaching.
• Work on other projects as assigned by supervisor
