Job summary

Penske Truck Leasing Co., L.P. in Midland, TX is seeking a Technician to perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs on a diverse fleet.

You'll work with modern tools, learn Penske's maintenance processes, and gain industry‑leading certification training, with safety at the forefront. You should be mechanically inclined with 1–2 years of automotive or diesel repair experience, a valid license, and a commitment to punctual, team‑oriented work.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred.
• 1–2 years automotive or diesel repair experience (preferred).
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to solve problems and use tools.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Team player and able to work outside.
• Basic computer skills.
• Must follow DOT, OSHA and Penske safety policies.

Responsibilities

• Maintain vehicles to keep customers safe and on the road.
• Use Penske tools to log, research and complete repairs, incl. basic diagnostics.
• Perform preventive maintenance such as tire rotation and lubrication on gas/diesel engines.
• Learn new skills through Penske’s technician training and hands-on coaching.
• Contribute to other projects as directed by supervisor.
