Job summary

Penske is hiring a Technician in Kent, WA to perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs on a maintained fleet. You will use Penske tools, diagnose issues, and learn through training programs while building a stable, long-term career.

Qualified candidates have a high school diploma (or equivalent), 1–2 years of auto/diesel repair experience, a valid license, and strong problem-solving and customer-service skills. DOT safety rules apply, and full-time hours are provided with benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational/tech certification in vehicle repair preferred.
• 1–2 years of automotive or diesel repair experience (preferred).
• Valid driver's license required.
• Ability to solve problems and use tools.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Team-oriented and able to work outdoors.
• Basic computer skills and able to follow instructions.
• DOT/OSHA safety policies compliance required.
• Willingness for schedule and location; potential travel for training.
• Safety-sensitive role with DOT requirements.

Responsibilities

• Maintain vehicles to keep customers safe.
• Use Penske tools to log, research and complete repairs.
• Perform preventive maintenance and basic component work.
• Learn new skills through Penske technician training and coaching.
• Handle other tasks as assigned by supervisor.
