Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred
• 1–2 years automotive or diesel repair experience (preferred)
• Valid driver's license
• Ability to use tools and solve problems
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Ability to work well in a team and outdoors
• Basic computer skills
• Must follow Penske safety and maintenance policies including DOT/OSHA
• Regular, predictable, full attendance is essential
• DOT drug screening and qualification file requirements

Responsibilities

• Keep vehicles maintained and safe for customers
• Use Penske's tools to log, research and complete repairs, including basic diagnostics
• Perform preventive maintenance like tire rotations and lubrication, plus some electrical and cooling system work
• Learn new skills through Penske technician training and coaching
• Work on other tasks as assigned by supervisor
