Job summary

Penske is seeking an entry-level Diesel Technician/Mechanic III to perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs on a diverse fleet. You will use Penske tools for diagnostics and repairs, learning through hands-on coaching from experienced technicians.

Ideal candidates have basic mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn; high school diploma or equivalent preferred, with vocational repair certification preferred. Includes strong benefits and opportunities for growth at Penske.

Qualifications

• Basic mechanical aptitude required.
• Ability to use basic hand and power tools.
• Willingness to learn Penske maintenance processes.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs on fleet vehicles.
• Log, research and complete repairs using Penske tools and technologies; conduct basic diagnostics.
• Perform preventative maintenance including tires, lubrication, and cooling system maintenance on gas and diesel vehicles.
• Learn new skills through Penske’s training and coaching from supervisors and master technicians.
• Collaborate with supervisor on other projects as assigned.
