Cox Fleet is hiring a Shop Diesel Technician II in Miami, FL to support growth and perform licensed DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, light to heavy-duty repairs, and diagnostics in a shop environment. The role requires adherence to safety policies and ongoing skills development under supervision.

The candidate should have a HS diploma or GED, 3–5 years of related experience, and DOT-related certifications. Weekly pay and comprehensive benefits are part of the package.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED and 3 years’ related experience, or 5 years’ related experience.
• Candidate must pass DOT pre-employment background screening and DOT physical.
• DOT medical card remains valid and may be submitted in lieu of a physical.

Responsibilities

• Perform licensed DOT inspections and preventative maintenance inspections.
• Carry out light, medium and heavy-duty repairs and diagnostics under supervision.
• Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, battery checks, and lubrication.
• Document work performed, parts used, and findings in Repair Orders.
• Comply with safety, health, and environmental policies and federal regulations.
