Job summary

Penske Truck Leasing Co., L.P. is seeking an experienced Technician II for our Suffolk, VA fleet. You’ll perform preventive maintenance and major/minor repairs on a variety of OEM equipment, using Penske's advanced diagnostic tools and training programs.

This role emphasizes independent work, safety, and continuous learning. You will be mentored by senior technicians and manage tasks with a focus on reliability and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• 3 years of practical experience with vehicle maintenance
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred
• ASE Certification and 608/609 certifications preferred
• Valid driver's license
• Ability to follow DOT/OSHA safety and Penske policies
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair vehicles to keep customers safe
• Perform preventive maintenance on trucks/trailers with minimal supervision
• Repair and troubleshoot engines, transmissions, differentials, turbochargers, fuel systems
• Keep work area clean and safe
• Use Penske tools to log, research and complete repairs including diagnostics
• Learn through Penske's technician training
• Take on additional tasks as assigned by supervisor
