Job summary

Penske Truck Leasing Co., L.P. is seeking an experienced Technician II to maintain and repair our diverse fleet. You will diagnose, service, and repair trucks and trailers, while mentoring newer technicians and following Penske safety standards.

Qualifications

• 3 years of practical experience with vehicle maintenance is required.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred.
• Specialized training and experience in diagnosing/troubleshooting major components and OEM training courses are preferred.
• DOT/OSHA safety compliance and ability to pass background screening are required.

Responsibilities

• Make sure vehicles are maintained and safe for customers.
• Perform preventive maintenance services on truck and trailer equipment with minimal supervision.
• Repair and troubleshoot engines, transmissions, differentials, turbochargers, and fuel systems.
• Keep the work area clean and safe.
• Use Penske tools and technologies to log, research and complete repairs, including diagnostics.
• Learn new skills through Penske’s technician training.
• Work on other projects as assigned by supervisor.
