Penske in Jessup, MD is seeking a Technician II to perform preventive maintenance and repairs on a modern fleet. You’ll work independently on a variety of equipment and mentor newer technicians while learning Penske's maintenance processes.

This full-time role offers a Sunday-Thursday shift from 6:00am to 2:30pm with a pay rate of $31.51 per hour. Penske emphasizes safety, ongoing training, and opportunities for career advancement, plus a strong benefits package.

Qualifikationen

• 3 years of practical experience with vehicle maintenance.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational/technical certification preferred.
• Experience diagnosing major components (engines, transmissions, differentials); ASE and 608/609 preferred.
• Experience using diagnostic tools, hand tools and power tools.
• Valid driver's license.
• DOT/OSHA safety policy compliance.
• Willing to travel within the district.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.

Aufgaben

• Ensure vehicles are maintained and safe for customers.
• Perform preventive maintenance on trucks and trailers with minimal supervision.
• Repair and troubleshoot engines, transmissions, differentials and related components.
• Keep work area clean and safe.
• Use Penske tools to log, research and complete repairs, including basic diagnostics.
• Learn new skills through Penske training.
• Work on other tasks as assigned by supervisor.
