Qualifications

• 3 years of practical vehicle maintenance experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational/technical certification in vehicle repair preferred.
• Specialized training and experience diagnosing/troubleshooting engines, transmissions, differentials; ASE 608/609 certifications preferred.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Ability to work in non-climate-controlled conditions.
• DOT/OSHA safety compliance knowledge and adherence.
• Willingness to travel within the district as needed.
• DOT driving/qualification requirements (MVR, DOT physical, FMCSA considerations) may apply.

Responsibilities

• Maintains and ensures vehicle safety for customers.
• Performs preventive maintenance on truck and trailer equipment with minimal supervision.
• Repairs and troubleshoots engines, transmissions, differentials, turbochargers, fuel systems, etc.
• Keeps work area clean and safe.
• Uses Penske tools/tech to log, research and complete repairs, including diagnostics.
• Participates in Penske technician training to learn new skills.
• Performs additional tasks as assigned by supervisor.
