Job summary

FleetPride Texarkana is seeking a Diesel Technician II to perform preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and component repairs on heavy-duty trucks and trailers. You will diagnose system failures, perform routine services, and complete repairs with limited supervision in a non-climate controlled shop.

The role requires a Diesel Technology Associates degree plus 3+ years of hands-on experience with class 7 and 8 tractors and 53' trailers.

Qualifications

• Diesel tech with 3+ years of experience on class 7 & 8 trucks.
• Experience repairing 53’ trailers.
• Welding and airbrake knowledge advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Examine vehicles to determine damage or malfunction.
• Provide preventative maintenance solutions.
• Perform routine maintenance like oil changes and filter replacements.
• Repair, reline, replace, and adjust brakes on multiple systems.
• Test drive vehicles and diagnose components with proper equipment.
• Troubleshoot suspension and steering systems.
• Repair electrical, exhaust, and HVAC systems as needed.
• Maintain a clean and safe workspace.
