Job summary

Penske in Honolulu is seeking a qualified Automotive Technician to perform preventive maintenance and minor repairs on our fleet. You will use Penske tools and training to keep vehicles safe and on the road.

You’ll work with experienced supervisors and master technicians, gaining industry-certified training and hands-on coaching that supports your growth and long-term stability at Penske.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational/technical certification preferred
• Basic mechanical aptitude with 1–2 years automotive/diesel repair experience
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to solve problems and use tools
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Willingness to work the required schedule and location
• Basic computer skills
• Compliance with Penske safety policies and DOT/OSHA requirements
• Ability to pass drug screen and DOT requirements if applicable

Responsibilities

• Make sure vehicles are maintained and safe for customers
• Use Penske tools to log, research and complete repairs including basic diagnostics
• Perform preventative maintenance (tires, lubrication, cooling system) on gas/diesel engines
• Collaborate with manager to learn new skills via Penske training
• Assist with other tasks as assigned by supervisor
