Job summary
Republic Services is seeking a Maintenance Technician B to diagnose and repair diesel and non‑diesel equipment, including chassis, refuse bodies, hydraulic and electrical systems, and HVAC. The role involves preventative maintenance, light welding, and occasional road service while supporting a single fleet of state‑of‑the‑art vehicles.
You will work under supervision with opportunities to train in new technologies, maintain safety standards, and grow within a stable, service‑oriented
Qualifications
- Diagnose multi-system issues and apply technical expertise.
- Familiar with work order labor time standards.
- Experience with maintenance on Class 1-5 light/medium/heavy trucks or similar equipment.
- ASE Certifications T1‑T8 are a plus but not required.
- CDL is a plus but not required.
- 3‑5 years of technician experience or recent graduation from an automotive program.
- Valid Driver’s License.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose malfunctions using a variety of electronic tools and on‑site inspection.
- Perform preventive and repair maintenance on chassis, bodies, braking, HVAC, suspension, drive train and steering systems.
- Carry out light welding and fabrication; provide road service when needed.
- Identify sources of failures and complete company training programs.
- Support ongoing safety and quality standards and follow company policies.
