Penske is hiring a Diesel Technician/Mechanic III - Entry Level at the Pasco, WA location. You will perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs on a diverse fleet, while learning Penske’s maintenance processes and technician training.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred
• Basic mechanical aptitude and 1-2 years of automotive or diesel repair experience (preferred)
• The ability to solve problems and comfort using tools
• Excellent customer service skills and communication skills
• The ability to work well as part of a team and outside
• Basic computer skills
• Understand and comply with Penske policies and procedures
• Adhere to DOT/OSHA safety policies
• Regular, predictable, full attendance is essential
• Driving required; must maintain a driver qualification file per DOT requirements

Responsibilities

• Maintaining and ensuring vehicles are safe for customers
• Using Penske’s tools to log, research and complete repairs, including basic vehicle diagnostics
• Performing preventative maintenance such as tire rotation and lubrication
• Learning new skills through technician training and coaching
• Working on other projects as assigned by supervisor
