Job summary

Penske is seeking a Diesel Technician/Mechanic III at our Kent, WA location. You will perform preventive maintenance and minor repairs on a diverse fleet, log and complete repairs with Penske tools, and learn through our technician training programs.

Ideal candidates have basic mechanical aptitude and 1–2 years in automotive or diesel repair, with strong customer service and teamwork skills. DOT/OSHA safety policies apply, and CDL considerations may be required for some roles.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and 1-2 years of automotive or diesel repair experience preferred.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work well as part of a team and outdoors.
• Must follow DOT/OSHA safety policies and Penske procedures.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining vehicles and ensuring safety for customers.
• Log, research and complete repairs using Penske tools and technologies, including basic diagnostics.
• Perform preventative maintenance such as tire rotation and lubrication, plus some electrical and cooling system maintenance.
• Learn new skills through Penske's technician training and hands-on coaching.
• Work on other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor.
