Job summary

Penske is seeking a Technician in Wilkes-Barre, PA to perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs on a modern fleet. You’ll use Penske’s diagnostic tools and work with experienced supervisors to keep vehicles safe and on the road.

This shift-based role offers Sunday and evening hours, on-site work, comprehensive training, and opportunities for growth within Penske Truck Leasing. Equality, safety, and career development are emphasized.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational/technical repair cert preferred
• 1–2 years of automotive or diesel repair experience preferred
• Valid driver’s license required
• Strong problem solving and tool-use ability
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Team player with ability to work outdoors
• Basic computer skills
• Must understand and follow Penske policies and DOT/OSHA safety rules
• Willingness to travel for training if required

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs
• Log and research repairs using Penske tools
• Replace tires and perform lubrication and routine maintenance on gas/diesel vehicles
• Work with manager to learn new skills via training
• Handle other duties as assigned by supervisor
