Job summary

Performance Foodservice is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform preventative maintenance on medium to heavy-duty trucks, trailers, and reefer units. You will ensure compliance with state and federal trucking regulations, document all work orders, and provide timely, professional communication with co-workers.

Responsibilities include diagnosing basic failures, inspecting critical systems, and performing routine maintenance and road-call services as required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years of proven medium to heavy-duty vehicle repair experience including PMs, tire & wheel, air & air disc brakes, diagnostics, electrical troubleshooting, and A/C refrigeration.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on medium to heavy-duty trucks, trailers, and reefer units.
• Ensure roadworthiness by verifying licensing and registration.
• Document work orders and maintain current records in the online system.
• Install, replace, and repair onboard computers.
• Inspect brakes, steering, bearings, and other critical components and replace parts as needed.
• Perform routine maintenance (oil changes, battery checks, lubrication) using hand and power tools.
• Perform other related duties as assigned; respond to road calls as needed.
