Job summary
Performance Foodservice is seeking a maintenance technician to perform preventative maintenance on our fleet of tractors, trailers, and reefer units. You will document repairs, ensure roadworthiness, and service onboard computers under minimal supervision.
Requirements include 2+ years in heavy-duty vehicle repair, diesel systems, electrical troubleshooting, and basic refrigeration work. The role includes night shifts in Lebanon, TN with competitive benefits and day-one eligibility.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- 2+ years of proven medium to heavy-duty vehicle repair experience including PMs, tire & wheel, air & air disc brakes, diagnosis and electronic troubleshooting.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance on fleet diesel equipment (tractors, trailers, refrigeration units) and identify root causes of failures.
- Ensure roadworthiness with licensing/registration checks.
- Document work orders and maintenance in the online system.
- Install/repair onboard computers and inspect critical systems.
- Perform routine maintenance like oil changes, battery checks, lubrication.
- Carry out road calls as needed.
