Job summary

Carvana in Concord, NC is seeking a Diesel Technician to join our Fleet Maintenance team. You will work on Class 8 trucks and trailers, performing preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and component replacements to keep the fleet up and running.

You will use diagnostic tools, handle aftertreatment systems, and collaborate with teammates to minimize downtime. The role offers $20-$24 per hour, competitive benefits, training, and reimbursements for ASE certifications, tuition, tool and boot

Qualifications

• 6 months+ of experience with Heavy-Duty Class 8 trucks and trailers or similar equipment.
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills for diesel engines, transmissions, and vehicle systems.
• Proficiency with diagnostic software and using a laptop for manuals.
• Experience with aftertreatment systems and electrical diagnostics.
• MIG welding experience is a plus.
• Two ASE Certifications within the first 6 months with reimbursement.
• Valid Driver's License with clean driving record.
• Ability to perform physical tasks and maintain punctuality.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.

Responsibilities

• Routine Maintenance & Repair: Preventative maintenance, inspections, and component replacements.
• Diagnostics: Use tools to troubleshoot diesel engines, transmissions, and vehicle systems.
• System Repairs: Address aftertreatment systems and perform fan/regen related tasks.
• Collaborate & Optimize: Maintain records and minimize downtime with team.
• Safety First: Follow safety protocols and DOT compliance.
