Job summary

Carvana is seeking a skilled Diesel Technician to join our Fleet Maintenance team, focusing on Class 8 trucks and trailers. You’ll perform preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs to ensure uptime, with a path for growth in a fast-growing company.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience with Heavy-Duty Class 8 trucks and trailers.
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills for diesel engines, transmissions, and vehicle systems.
• Proficiency with diagnostic software and using a laptop for manuals.
• Experience with aftertreatment systems and electrical diagnostics.
• MIG welding a plus, ASE certifications reimbursed.
• Valid Driver's License with clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, and component replacements on the fleet.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical, engine, and transmission problems using diagnostic tools.
• Address aftertreatment systems and perform regens; change filters as needed.
• Collaborate with team to maintain records, optimize performance, and minimize downtime.
• Follow safety protocols to keep the Class 8 fleet DOT compliant.
