Job summary

Carvana is seeking a Diesel Technician to join our Fleet Maintenance team. You will service our Class 8 trucks and trailers, performing preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs to keep the fleet on the road and compliant with DOT standards.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience with heavy-duty Class 8 trucks and trailers.
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills for diesel engines and vehicle systems.
• Proficiency with diagnostic software and using a laptop for manuals.
• Experience with aftertreatment systems and electrical diagnostics.
• MIG welding experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and component replacements on the Class 8 fleet.
• Use diagnostic tools/software to troubleshoot electrical, engine, and transmission issues.
• Address aftertreatment systems (DEF/emissions), perform re-gen cycles and filter changes.
• Collaborate with team to maintain records, optimize performance, and minimize downtime.
• Adhere to safety protocols and DOT compliance.
