Job summary

Carvana in Tolleson, AZ is seeking a Diesel Technician to join our Fleet Maintenance team. You’ll keep our Class 8 fleet up and running, performing preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs to minimize downtime.

Qualifications

• 6 months+ of experience with heavy-duty Class 8 trucks and trailers
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills for diesel engines, transmissions, and vehicle systems
• Proficient with diagnostic software and using a laptop for manuals
• Experience with aftertreatment systems and electrical diagnostics
• MIG welding experience is a plus
• Two ASE Certifications within first 6 months; reimbursements provided

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, and component replacements on our fleet
• Use diagnostic tools to troubleshoot electrical, engine, and transmission problems
• Repair aftertreatment systems and perform regenerations and filter changes
• Maintain accurate records and work with team to optimize performance and minimize downtime
• Adhere to safety protocols and DOT compliance
