Casella Waste Systems, Inc. in Montpelier, VT is seeking a Diesel Technician Apprentice to learn and support maintenance of vehicles and equipment.

You will work alongside an experienced technician to perform preventative maintenance, inspections and safety tasks while progressing through training requirements. The starting rate is $25 per hour with a $2,000 annual tool allowance; preference given to candidates able to work second shift.

Qualifications

• Must have a HS diploma or GED and be at least 18 years old.
• Legal eligibility to work in the United States and a valid driver's license are required.
• Demonstrated ability to work safely in a physically demanding environment.

Responsibilities

• Learn basic parts, processes and maintenance techniques under supervision.
• Complete work orders and perform preventive maintenance per inspections.
• Assist senior technicians on projects and ensure safe operations.
