Job summary

Casella Waste is seeking a Diesel Technician Apprentice for the 2nd shift at our Raymond, NH facility. You will work alongside experienced technicians to learn maintenance and preventive care for vehicles and equipment, with a focus on safety and reliability.

The role includes training to complete all required tasks, a pre-employment drug screen, and a path to progression through Technician roles as you gain expertise. A $2,500 hiring bonus is offered.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Hold a valid Class A, B, or C Driver’s license.
• Basic knowledge of automotive, diesel or heavy equipment diagnostics and repair.
• Successful completion of pre-employment drug screen is required.

Responsibilities

• Learn basic parts, processes, and maintenance techniques under supervision.
• Complete work orders and perform preventative maintenance tasks.
• Assist senior technicians on maintenance tasks and larger projects.
• Identify defects affecting equipment availability and operator safety.
• Learn lockout/tagout procedures and safety practices.
• Work in garage/shop and outdoor environments in varying weather.

Skills
