Job summary

Republic Services is seeking a Maintenance Technician A to perform repairs and maintenance on diesel and non-diesel fleet equipment, including chassis, refuse bodies, air brakes, engines, HVAC, and driveline systems.

You will work under supervision, tackle complex diagnostic tasks, and contribute to a safe, reliable fleet that supports drivers and routes. The role requires critical thinking, strong mechanical skills, and a willingness to continuously learn new technologies.

Qualifications

• Ability to diagnose multi-system issues and demonstrate technical expertise.
• 5-7 years of experience as a technician working on heavy-duty trucks.
• LNG and/or CNG experience is a plus but not required.
• Class B or higher Commercial Driver’s License is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Maintains advanced knowledge of vehicle components and systems and performs complex repairs.
• Chassis component repair and maintenance; brakes, engines, and drivetrains.
• Electrical, HVAC, and Aftertreatment system diagnostics and repair.
• Line maintenance, welding and fabrication, and diagnostics using various tools.
• Complete company training programs and unrelated duties as assigned.
