Job summary

Old Dominion Freight Line is seeking a Maintenance Technician to keep our fleet in top condition. You will perform preventative maintenance, diagnose mechanical and electrical issues, and ensure timely repairs while adhering to industry standards.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or equivalent, own tools, and experience in trucking repair. CDL may be required and lifting, multitask work, and safety compliance are essential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience as maintenance technician or related field.
• Own tools to perform duties and maintain records.
• Valid CDL when required; able to read truck systems.
• DOT/OSHA rules knowledge and safety compliance.

Responsibilities

• Repair equipment safely and timely, including preventative maintenance.
• Diagnose mechanical or electrical failures in trucks and related equipment.
• Read precision instruments during diagnostics and repairs.
• Weld on converters/dollies and perform metal work as needed.
• Follow DOT, EPA, ICC, OSHA guidelines and company policies.
• Maintain accurate paperwork and records as required.
• Work on various rolling stock and equipment per supervision.
