Ryder is hiring a Mid-Level Diesel Technician in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania — providing a stable company for your career with weekly pay and excellent benefits.

This role includes a second shift (3:00 pm–11:30 pm), Monday–Friday with weekends off, and opportunities for performance-based bonuses and tuition reimbursement. You will work with state-of-the-art diagnostics on heavy-duty vehicles and earn PTO from day one.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Vocational/Technical certification preferred.
• Basic tools required.
• Two years of classroom training/experience preferred.
• CDL Class A preferred; must obtain CDL within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Performs vehicle maintenance and repair duties.
• Performs standard vehicle maintenance.
• Performs standard component inspections and repairs.
• Performs preventive maintenance.
• Diagnoses mechanical and electronic problems using diagnostic equipment.
• Identifies root causes and performs repairs as required.
• Replaces defective components as instructed.
• Interacts with customers/drivers to determine nature of complaint.
• Follows safety and DOT guidelines and uses Shop Management System.
