The role involves maintaining and repairing heavy‑duty vehicles, using diagnostic tools, and delivering high quality service in a state‑of‑the‑art shop environment. A high school diploma and readiness to obtain CDL within 6 months are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Vocational or technical certification post secondary degree or technical certifications preferred.
• Basic tools, required.
• Experience with automotive gas or diesel engines and preventive maintenance.
• CDL Class A preferred; ability to obtain CDL within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Performs vehicle maintenance and repair duties.
• Performs standard vehicle maintenance.
• Performs standard component inspections and repairs.
• Performs preventive maintenance.
• Diagnoses mechanical and electronic problems using diagnostic computer.
• Identifies root causes and performs repairs as required.
• Replaces defective components as instructed.
• Interacts with customers/drivers to determine nature of complaint.
• Maintains compliance with safety/DOT/MOT guidelines.
• Provides support duties as required to assist operations.
