Job summary

Ryder is hiring a Mid-level Diesel Technician in Conestoga, PA. You will perform vehicle maintenance and repairs on heavy-duty vehicles, diagnose problems, and ensure safety and compliance. The role offers a full benefits package and multiple bonuses.

Work schedule is Sunday–Thursday, third shift (9:00 pm–5:30 am); competitive hourly pay and sign-on bonuses are available, with a strong emphasis on career development and advancement within Ryder.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Vocational or technical certification preferred.
• Basic tools required.
• Two years or more classroom training and/or work experience preferred.
• CDL CLASS A preferred; must obtain CDL within 6 months after hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs vehicle maintenance and repair duties.
• Performs standard vehicle maintenance.
• Performs standard component inspections and repairs.
• Performs preventive maintenance.
• Diagnoses mechanical and electronic problems using diagnostic tools.
• Identifies root causes of failures and performs repairs.
• Replaces defective components as instructed.
• Interacts with customers/drivers to determine nature of the complaint.
• Ensures compliance with safety and DOT/MOT guidelines.
• Performs other support duties as required to support operations.
