Job summary

Ryder in Horsham, Pennsylvania is hiring a Mid-Level Diesel Technician to join its heavy-duty maintenance team. This role focuses on diagnostic repairs, preventive maintenance, and component servicing on diesel engines using state-of-the-art tools.

Expect a second shift from 2:30 pm to 11:00 pm, weekly pay, and a benefits package including medical, dental, vision after 30 days, PTO from day 1, and 401(k) with match. Ryder supports career growth and a safety-first workplace.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Vocational or Technical Certification preferred.
• Basic tools, required.
• Demonstrated aptitude and experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines including preventative maintenance (oil changes, brake and tire work).
• Two years or more of classroom training and/or work experience in the field preferred.
• Valid CDL Class A preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs vehicle maintenance and repair duties.
• Performs standard vehicle maintenance tasks and inspections.
• Diagnoses mechanical and electronic problems using diagnostic tools.
• Identifies root causes of failures and performs repairs as required.
• Replaces defective components as instructed.
• Performs facility maintenance and supports operations as needed.
